Position Summary | The Financial Analyst derives meaningful, actionable information from a number of data repositories on a scheduled and immediate timeframe. Analyzes and reports month end key performance indicators (KPIs). Provides all data gathering, testing, research and analysis to support the business functions as it relates to variances in business including, but not limited to charge reconciliation, SMILE analysis, and stat benchmarking, Performs duties related to the business operations of the affiliate and exercises discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance. | | | |
Education | Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field is required. |
Experience | Experience with data analysis is preferred. | Financial reporting experience is preferred. |

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities | Excellent quantitative and analytical skills. | Strong knowledge of relational databases and methods for efficient and accurate data handling, retrieval, compiling and reporting. | Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office products. | Excellent organizational and time management skills. | Skilled in written and verbal communication and diplomacy. | Presents information in a clear, concise and effective manner. |
Responsibilities | Derives meaningful, actionable information from a number of data repositories. | Performs data gathering, manipulation and reporting from a variety of sources to address problems and answer questions relative to financial and operational business. | Investigates and resolves variances from financial targets. | Partners with clients and works to meet determined project deadlines. | Evaluates data for reliability, accuracy and completeness. |
Possess the information, skill, and understanding of the work to be performed. Actively participates in continuing education opportunities and maintains certifications, licensure as appropriate. | Abides by all safety requirements including demonstrating proper hand hygiene and wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), if applicable. | Complies with all standards, policies and procedures including dress code, attendance and punctuality. Attends required in-services and meetings and completes all mandatory competencies by deadline. Commits to keeping all patient, student or colleague information confidential and maintains ongoing communication and collaboration with team members. |
