Position Summary | The Valet Driver safely operates, parks, and retrieves patient and visitor vehicles and/or golf carts. This role assists in providing directions and way finding for guests. Often being the first and last person visitors and patients encounter, the Valet Driver is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and care. | | | |
Education | High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred. | Applicant must be at least 18 years of age. |
Experience | 1 year of operation of a motor vehicle is required. |
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations | Valid driver’s license is required. |
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities | Ability to maintain a safe driving record. | Strong verbal communication, listening and interpersonal skills. | Exceptional customer service skills. | Excellent collaboration and team building skills. | Friendly and service oriented. |
Responsibilities | Parks vehicles and assists patients and visitors with getting in and out. | Safely transports and escort patients and visitors to destination. | Maintains security of patient vehicles and keys. | Provides hospital information and way finding assistance. | Maintains a clean and orderly environment and entrance area. | Serves as a greeter to those entering and exiting the facility. | Completes and maintains department records or paperwork. | Safely operates campus golf carts to shuttle patients and visitors (if applicable). |
Possess the information, skill, and understanding of the work to be performed. Actively participates in continuing education opportunities and maintains certifications, licensure as appropriate. | Abides by all safety requirements including demonstrating proper hand hygiene and wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), if applicable. | Complies with all standards, policies and procedures including dress code, attendance and punctuality. Attends required in-services and meetings and completes all mandatory competencies by deadline. Commits to keeping all patient, student or colleague information confidential and maintains ongoing communication and collaboration with team members. |
