Position Summary | The Senior Supply Chain Technician-Non Clinical oversees the medical supply acquisition, checking-in, distribution, and supply charging processes in Supply Chain. Maintains the computer systems as they relate to medical supplies in the appropriate area(s). | | | |
Education | High school diploma or equivalent is required. | Associates degree in supply chain, healthcare, or a related field is preferred. |
Experience | 2 years of Healthcare, Supply Chain, or related experience is required. |

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities | Excellent collaboration and team building skills. | Highly thorough and dependable. | Knowledge of computer applications necessary for data retrieval and analysis, i.e. Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint required. | Ability to use a handheld computer and keyboard. | Demonstrate time management and priority setting skills. | Friendly and service oriented. |
Responsibilities | Responsible for overseeing all storeroom functions in the applicable areas including, but not limited to, general supply storerooms or procedural storerooms on or off-site. | Responsible for the inventory system by setting up new par levels, making requested changes, additions, and deletions to existing par levels, if applicable. | Responsible for the supplies in the applicable storeroom(s) including, but not limited to, receiving supplies, delivering supplies, checking supply levels, stocking the storeroom/procedural areas (if applicable), and checking stock-on-hand for outdates, utilizing other staff members as appropriate. | Utilizes inventory management software to develop pick lists and ensure appropriate levels of supplies are maintained. | Enters direct order supplies, completes bill-only requisitions, and oversees supply related consignment agreements, if applicable. | Partners with vendors and procurement to ensure prompt delivery of emergency or STAT supplies. | Assists with product recalls, backorders, and allocations of supplies. | May be asked to participate as a subject matter expert or contributor on various committees specific to supplies or equipment as needed. | Works with Supply Chain Leadership for appropriate cycle counting or physical inventory completion, if applicable. |
Possess the information, skill, and understanding of the work to be performed. Actively participates in continuing education opportunities and maintains certifications, licensure as appropriate. | Abides by all safety requirements including demonstrating proper hand hygiene and wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), if applicable. | Complies with all standards, policies and procedures including dress code, attendance and punctuality. Attends required in-services and meetings and completes all mandatory competencies by deadline. Commits to keeping all patient, student or colleague information confidential and maintains ongoing communication and collaboration with team members. |
