Position Summary | Provides System-wide leadership for technology strategy, infrastructure, and digital capabilities in support of the organization's mission, and clinical, operational and financial priorities Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Chief Technology Officer leads the design, delivery, and modernization of technology platforms that support patient care, clinicians, colleagues, and communities. | | | |
Education | Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Business, or related field is required. | Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Business, or related field is preferred. |
Experience | 10 years of progressively more responsible IT leadership experience or healthcare consulting is required. Leadership experience within healthcare, enterprise technology, infrastructure, or hospital operations is preferred. | Three (3) years of experience involving the development of information systems plans and use of standard methodologies, selection of vendor products, and implementation of those products is preferred. |

Responsibilities | Advances the System’s mission by aligning technology with compassionate, equitable care, integrating faith-based values, partnering with leadership, and promoting responsible human-centered use of technology. | Defines and executes an enterprise technology strategy aligned with clinical, operational, financial, and ministry priorities in partnership with executive leadership. | Leads enterprise architecture, infrastructure, cloud strategy, and platform modernization to deliver scalable, secure, and sustainable solutions. | Evaluates and implements emerging technologies (e.g., AI, digital health, automation) with a focus on value, innovation, and ethical responsibility. | Oversees enterprise infrastructure services – including data centers, cloud, networks, telecommunications, and end-user computing – across all care settings. | Ensures high availability, resiliency, disaster recovery, and business continuity for mission-critical systems. | Drive operational excellence by establishing service standards and performance metrics that enhance reliability, responsiveness, and caregiver experience while supporting local ministry needs. | Collaborates closely with the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to maintain a strong cybersecurity and privacy posture. | Ensures compliance with healthcare regulatory requirements and faith-based ethical standards for data stewardship. | Supports incident response, risk mitigation, and organizational resilience planning. |
Leads a team of colleagues in human resource initiatives including but not limited to; performance management; education and development; selection and retention; workforce planning; coaching and counseling; and supporting activities that promote colleague engagement and satisfaction. | Leads or supports the financial resource functions including but not limited to; managing expenses; preparing, monitoring and executing within limits of the budget; monitors productivity standards; manages the purchasing process and all decisions related to the finances for the area of responsibility. | Leads or supports change and process improvement initiatives including but not limited to; strives for standard, efficient and value-added processes; communicates a clear vision; influences and motivates others; and develops strong relationships with key stakeholders. |
