Position Summary | Greets our patients and visitors and directs them to the appropriate area. Answers the telephone and routes calls as needed. Observes strict patient confidentiality in dealing with callers and information related to patients and colleagues. Contacts leaders via telephone when candidates arrive for interviews. | | | |
Education | High School Diploma or GED is preferred. |
Experience | 1 year of customer service experience is preferred. | 1 year of phone experience is preferred. |

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities | Possesses strong customer service skills to ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care. | Strong verbal communication skills, listening skills and phone etiquette. | Articulate and responsive to patients, visitors, colleagues, etc. | Demonstrated problem solving skills. | Friendly and service oriented. | Maintains a high degree of professionalism. |
Responsibilities | Greets incoming patients and visitors and provides navigational directions. | Answers telephone, screens calls, takes messages, and provides information according to established policies and practices. | Provides general clerical support for other areas when requested. |
Possess the information, skill, and understanding of the work to be performed. Actively participates in continuing education opportunities and maintains certifications, licensure as appropriate. | Abides by all safety requirements including demonstrating proper hand hygiene and wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), if applicable. | Complies with all standards, policies and procedures including dress code, attendance and punctuality. Attends required in-services and meetings and completes all mandatory competencies by deadline. Commits to keeping all patient, student or colleague information confidential and maintains ongoing communication and collaboration with team members. |
