Position Summary

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for aligning business objectives with management in designated business units/service lines. This role serves as the primary point of connection between the HR functions and business leaders, providing two-way insights in order to deliver targeted and efficient HR programs and services that drive measurable value. Act as a trusted advisor and activist, having a point of view about business demands as well as human capital needs and then deliver on what is promised. 


Education

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field is required.

Master's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field is preferred.

H.S. Diploma or equivalent plus five years of experience as an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner, preferably in healthcare, may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.


Experience

2 years of experience as an HR Business Partner, Generalist, or related operating in a complex business environment which may have included interpreting and applying HR policies, procedures, programs, and processes is required.


Certificates, Licenses and Registrations

PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP is preferred.

Responsibilities

Proactively consults with designated teams/business unit leaders to provide HR guidance and help align business objectives with colleagues and leadership.

Serves as a liaison between the business and the HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to assess the human resources needs in areas such as performance management, colleague relations, talent acquisition, compensation, and leadership development; partners with HR COEs to align strategies, goals, and objectives of the HR department and organization.   Conducts or moderates colleague surveys, focus groups, or engage/stay interviews as needed. Assists with communicating and messaging HR initiatives within divisions and ministries throughout HSHS.

Assists in the development of programs that promote colleague engagement, satisfaction, and retention with the organization.

Works with leaders on development, management and implementation of System strategy.

Provides education and facilitation of leadership development programs and other training to promote growth and development of HSHS leaders and colleagues.

HR Leadership with mergers and acquisitions with respect to cultural due diligence and integration.Enables leaders, based on the strategic plan and future direction, to develop and execute talent action plans as an outcome of knowing organizational capabilities, talent implications, and identified gaps or surpluses of talent.

Facilitates workforce planning, talent review, and performance analysis sessions with leaders.

Facilitate quarterly check-in meetings to ensure business follows through on talent commitments and strategies; leverages data and analytics to analyze trends and assist leaders with driving insights and performance.

Recommends, advises and implements organizational changes or reorganizations as needed.

Provides input, edits, and designs job descriptions in partnership with operational leaders to design roles that meet organizational/departmental goals and objectives.

Assists with mergers and acquisition work as needed.

Assists with regulatory surveys and Legal requests as needed.


Possess the information, skill, and understanding of the work to be performed.  Actively participates in continuing education opportunities and maintains certifications, licensure as appropriate.

Abides by all safety requirements including demonstrating proper hand hygiene and wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), if applicable. 

Complies with all standards, policies and procedures including dress code, attendance and punctuality.  Attends required in-services and meetings and completes all mandatory competencies by deadline. Commits to keeping all patient, student or colleague information confidential and maintains ongoing communication and collaboration with team members.
