Position Summary

Serves as a central point-of-contact and resource to colleagues and leaders for all Human Resources (HR) needs, including but not limited to benefits, policies, procedures, programs, and self-service.  Provides input and resources to assist in navigating complex HR needs and engages HR Centers of Excellence (COEs), HR Business Partners, and HR Generalists as needed.  Consistently delivers excellence in customer service and support.


Education

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field is required.

High School Diploma or equivalent plus 5 years of relevant experience in human resources, business, or related field may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree or Associates degree plus 3 years of relevant experience in human resources, business, or related field may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.


Experience

1 year of experience in recruiting, colleague development, health and wellness programs, benefits, compensation, colleague relations or related human resources experience is required.


Certificates, Licenses and Registrations

Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), or Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) is preferred.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Demonstrates strong customer service and interpersonal skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong commitment to following through on cases and providing support.Possesses strong problem-solving skills and quickly troubleshoots and reviews resources to effectively answer questions.

Familiarity and understanding of human resources information systems, voicemail messaging systems, word processing and spreadsheet software.Maintains a high level of confidentiality when working with sensitive information.


Responsibilities

Stays current with extensive knowledge base of reference materials and resources, and implements and explains human resources (HR) policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations.Partners with the HR Generalists, HR Business Partners, and HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to execute strategies, goals, and objectives of the organization.

Supports HR operations and assists with the administration of employee programs, which may include communication distribution, providing reports, auditing data and performing other transactions.

Acts as a liaison between HR and colleagues to facilitate communication and to ensure the coordination of HR programs.

Prioritizes and manages workload through case management platform and provides frequent updates on progress to appropriate parties.

Strategically assesses, problem-solves and provides counsel to leaders and colleagues on a variety of complex and/or sensitive HR and organizational issues utilizing various resources to craft holistic and accurate recommendations and responses.

Provides timely, high-quality, effective service to all customers including colleagues and HR team members.

Retrieves and updates information stored in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and other databases.


Possess the information, skill, and understanding of the work to be performed.  Actively participates in continuing education opportunities and maintains certifications, licensure as appropriate.

Abides by all safety requirements including demonstrating proper hand hygiene and wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), if applicable. 

Complies with all standards, policies and procedures including dress code, attendance and punctuality.  Attends required in-services and meetings and completes all mandatory competencies by deadline. Commits to keeping all patient, student or colleague information confidential and maintains ongoing communication and collaboration with team members.
