Position Summary | The Sr. HRIS Analyst is responsible for providing advanced technical support of HR information systems including issue analysis, design, configuration, testing, and implementation of moderately complex solutions for new and existing systems and functionality. Assists with optimization of workflow processes through building applications that are tailored to meet the organization's needs. Demonstrates thorough working knowledge of HRIS system capabilities and applies their knowledge to meet business needs. Serves as a mentor and trainer to less experienced HRIS Analysts. | | | |
Education | Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business or related field is required. | High School Diploma or equivalent and five (5) years of experience in healthcare information technology, clinical, hospital/ambulatory business office environment or related experience may be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor's degree. |
Experience | Five (5) years of HRIS Analyst, Human Resources, Payroll, IT or related experience is required. | Three years of Workday experience is required. | (This experience level is required in addition to the experience that would be required in lieu of education if colleague does not meet the Bachelor's degree requirement.) |
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations | Workday Ceritfication in designated functionality module(s) is preferred. |
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities | Quickly troubleshoots and resolves advanced problems. | Serves as a knowledge expert in HRIS system as well as primary, secondary, and tertiary modules. | Ability to coordinate and prioritize system needs with HR, Payroll & IT. | Expert for systems related issues and requests. | Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities. | Strong teambuilding and mentoring skills. | Primary point of contact for HRIS system projects, acting as a liaison between the users, IT teams and third parties. |
Responsibilities | Integral in all phases of system development life cycle including development of use cases and evaluation of software solutions by facilitating, planning, and developing training for the team and end-users. This includes evaluating the needs and objectives and offering guidance as to the best solutions to accomplish those outcomes.. | Maintains, upgrades, and provides support complying with all Information and Technology Services (ITS) standards and procedures. This includes conducting advanced HRIS Systems research on upgrades and documents any new functionality and leading HR and payroll departments in system testing and user acceptance testing events. | Actively participates in continuing education opportunities. | Manages multiple assignments in an organized way. Works with vendors to resolve advanced problems. Provides status in writing, verbally and graphically as required | Modifies existing configuration of current and new system software to provide additional functionality required by the ministries/affiliates. | Gathers information and justification for decision document creation to substantiate available options. Gathers return on investment (ROI) information to support requested changes. | Leads in report writing, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB's) and calculated fields within Workday and serves as a mentor to less experienced colleagues with these functions. | Researches, plans, configures, and installs HRIS applications, modules and provides support for basic Business Systems. Researches, plans hardware and software development, purchase, and use for the ministry operational departments. | Troubleshoots and resolves advanced hardware, software, and connectivity problems with HRIS mobile devices including user access for the ministry operational departments. | Writes design documents to enable technical development of operation requested system changes. | Prepares detailed flow charts and diagrams outlining systems capabilities and processes. | Documents HRIS IT Business Processes, which includes preparing detailed flow charts and diagrams outlining systems functionality and process. | Records and maintains user access and security. | Manages Tier 1 ITS projects. | Provides evening, night, and/or weekend on-call support as scheduled. |

Actively participates in continuing education opportunities and maintains certifications, licensure as appropriate. | Abides by all safety requirements including demonstrating proper hand hygiene and wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), if applicable. | Complies with all standards, policies and procedures including dress code, attendance and punctuality. Attends required in-services and meetings and completes all mandatory competencies by deadline.
