Position Summary | The Digital Health Analyst is a skilled and results-driven analyst that is responsible for specific and coordinated projects related to our digital health roadmap. This role will analyze current system setup and functionality, initiate digital projects, report on planned and current initiatives, measure impact and ensure projects are executed according to plan. The Digital Health Analyst works on advanced, complex, and technical projects or business issues requiring state-of-the-art technical or industry knowledge. | | | |
Education | Bachelor's degree in Informatics, Computer Science, Business or related field is required. | High School Diploma or the equivalent plus five (5) years of experience in information technology, informatics, or related field may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree. |
Experience | Seven (7) years of IT, informatics, nursing, revenue cycle, or other related experience is required. | Experience as an Epic Analyst or Informaticist is preferred. | Demonstrated progressive responsibility within the IT field is required. | Two (2) years of project management experience is required. |
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations | At least one (1) Epic Certification is required. Multiple Epic certifications are preferred. |
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities | Possesses advanced knowledge in area of specialty and of the integration between other areas of IT and organizational operations. Exposure to Artificial Intelligence/Digital Strategy/Predictive Analytics and willingness to learn to support these technologies and propose enhancements to them. | Demonstrates advanced knowledge of analytical and technical terminology and the ability to translate terminology to ensure it is understandable by others within the organization. Strong interpersonal, presentation, written and verbal communication skills while maintaining the necessary confidence to drive HSHS standards. Great data visualization skills. | Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. | Possesses a high degree of emotional intelligence and experience in coaching and working with other team members and operational leaders to achieve goals. Excellent communication skills and comfort level demonstrating and presenting to senior level leadership. | Ability to analyze, gather requirements, review and estimate incoming project requests to determine what IT can/cannot support prior to purchase based on HSHS standards. Actively involved in the software discovery process with Transformation, Information and Digital Strategy Committee. | Must be innovative and possess a process improvement mindset. |
Responsibilities | Reviews, analyzes and evaluates business and user needs and documents findings and recommends changes to business processes to increase system effectiveness for end users. Analyzes and proposes workflow for greater end user efficiency. | Measures impact of all current projects and provides suggestions based on ROI. Helps digital health directors to demonstrate value of projects and assists in adjusting digital health priorities. | Proposes system plans and strategies for application integration; evaluates systemwide infrastructure systems and defines road maps for organization needs. | Provides continuous improvement recommendations based upon experience from HSHS implementations; reviews support software and applications to reduce redundancy and propose solutions to promote a unified organization. | Draws upon knowledge of other systems and industries and consults with others to develop new strategies, solutions, and HSHS policies and procedures. Identifies potential barriers to innovation or quality improvements and works to eliminate those barriers by adapting plans to avoid negative impact on systems and applications. | Collaborates with multiple teams and analysts to bring in the voice of the organization and ongoing digital strategy into the work we deliver. | Researches, documents and maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and solutions to solve business challenges. Stays on top of the industry trends and abreast of new technologies for the system architecture. | Monitors all project timelines in an agile and efficient manner. Escalates concerns to digital health directors and has a pulse on impact to concurrent and future projects. | Aggregates data to maintain a digital strategy inventory. Includes up to date documentation on implemented systems. | Participates in project needs analysis (PNA) process and provides project estimates as needed. |
Possess the information, skill, and understanding of the work to be performed. Actively participates in continuing education opportunities and maintains certifications, licensure as appropriate. | Abides by all safety requirements including demonstrating proper hand hygiene and wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), if applicable. | Complies with all standards, policies and procedures including dress code, attendance and punctuality.
