Position Summary | The Market Director-Foundation leads all assigned market fundraising functions on behalf of the Hospital Sisters of St. Francis Foundation (HSSFF). Plans and executes all market strategies to accomplish annual goals through the management of major gift functions, annual giving programs and a yearly calendar of events. Develops an overall plan and direction for major donor activities with an associated work plan detailing short and long-term goals, specific action steps and deliverables, and a process for monitoring and evaluating the success of the major gifts program. Accountable leader in partnership with Market CEO/COO and Ministry CAOs in order to define and affirm market fundraising campaigns and fundraising priorities. Manages entire market-Foundation team to achieve annual expectations. | | | |
Education | Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, finance or related field is required. | Master's degree in marketing, communications, business, finance or related field is preferred. |
Experience | 5 to 7 years progressively more responsible leadership experience, or equivalent, required. | Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience is required. | Experience in fund-raising, public relations and/or marketing is preferred. |

Responsibilities | Maintains an active annual, major and planned giving donor portfolio in alignment with HSSFF standards for position. | Directs all Market fund-raising activities including major and planned giving, annual community campaigns, events, colleague campaign, endowment, and special purpose campaigns for market. | Develops, implements, and evaluates market strategies, goals and objectives to meet or exceed determined annual fundraising goals for market. | Administers Foundation Leadership Councils and volunteer committees within market unless assigned to Manager-Philanthropy. | Communicates regularly with key donors and stakeholders. | Maintains accountability for processing and keeping records of all gift activity by respective team members. | Provides periodic activity reports to the Board of Directors and Executive Leadership. | Monitors and reports out to Leadership and/or to the responsibility officer, any individual and/or affiliate activities believed to be in violation of the law or ethical standards. |
