Position Summary | The Project Manager-EPMO (Enterprise Project Management Office) will play a critical role in driving the successful delivery of multiple projects of varying size and complexity across Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS), including IT system implementations, process improvement initiatives, regulatory compliance efforts, and cross-departmental strategic programs. This position ensures adherence to project methodology and initiates intervention to at-risk projects and coordinates with key stakeholders to achieve project objectives. | | | |
Education | Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Project Management, or related field is required. | High School Diploma plus 5 years of project management or related experience may be considered in lieu of degree. |
Experience | 3-5 years of experience in project management within healthcare, IT, or other complex, regulated industries is required. | Experience working in an EPMO or PMO environment is preferred. |
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations | Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP), or equivalent certification is preferred. |
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities | Demonstrates strong project management, communication, and organizational skills; high proficiency in project management methodologies and tools. | Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders effectively. | Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly. | Proficiency in identifying issues, analyzing data, and developing effective solutions. | Skilled in prioritizing tasks and managing competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Capable of adjusting to changing priorities and maintaining focus under pressure. | Familiarity with business and project management tools such as Microsoft Office products including Project Pro, Excel, and Teams. | Ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions to achieve project objectives. |
Responsibilities | Leads and manages multiple strategic and operational projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with system priorities, budgets, and timelines. Employs project management methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid approaches as appropriate to the project's scope and objectives. | Works with senior leadership to ensure projects align with HSHS’s strategic goals, such as improving patient care outcomes, enhancing operational efficiency, and achieving financial sustainability, while delivering measurable outcomes like reduced patient wait times, increased process efficiency, or cost savings. | Establishes and monitors success metrics, such as on-time project delivery, budget adherence, and stakeholder satisfaction scores. | Identifies and mitigates risks and issues, such as resource constraints, scope changes, and regulatory compliance challenges, escalating through predefined governance channels when necessary to ensure timely resolution and project continuity. | Ensures thorough, accurate, transparent, and consistent communication with project team members including HSHS leaders and colleagues throughout the project lifecycle. | Engages with project sponsors and key stakeholders to ensure consistent communication, buy-in, and support throughout the project lifecycle. |
Possess the information, skill, and understanding of the work to be performed. Actively participates in continuing education opportunities and maintains certifications, licensure as appropriate. | Abides by all safety requirements including demonstrating proper hand hygiene and wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), if applicable. | Complies with all standards, policies and procedures including dress code, attendance and punctuality.
