Position Summary

The Program Manager-Physician Enterprise Projects will lead the successful delivery of all operational and strategic projects of varying complexity with the Medical Group and/or Prairie Cardiovascular.  This position will use skills in management, lean methodology, data analytics, and reporting as well as communication to elevate the performance of the Physician Enterprise.


Education

Bachelor's degree in Business, Health Administration or related field is required.    

Master’s degree in Business, Health Administration or related field is preferred.

High School Diploma or equivalent plus 5 years of business development, project management or related experience may be considered in lieu of degree. 


Experience

5 years of experience in healthcare operations with experience in leading complex projects is required. 

3 years of progressively responsible leadership experience is required. 

3 or more years of experience with reporting in a healthcare environment is preferred.

3 or more years of experience with Epic reporting tools is preferred.


Certificates, Licenses and Registrations

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Collaborates with Physician Enterprise leadership, clinical staff and providers to assess and develop financial and operational plans for new growth and business development initiatives including mergers and acquisitions. Helps to expand the scope of existing programs/services and leads operational process to implement strategic direction.

Leads and directs multiple highly complex projects. Employs project management methodology to routinely deliver successful project results.

Oversees the operational implementation process while also partnering with Strategy on developing specific strategic/business plans, modeling and marketplace/customer assessments. Assists Strategy in feasibility analysis for project/initiatives that affect the strategic objective and mission of the organization.

Serves as primary resource for strategic data, develops and maintains the plan of compliance with state certificate of need regulations and assists in management and implementation of medical staff development plan.

Develops and utilizes data and reports in multiple systems including Epic, enhances current reports and develops new ones where necessary, to respond to requests for data and information that supports decision-making, particularly for operational and strategic initiatives.

Develop, initiate and monitor multiple project requests, recommends prioritization to optimize positive impact, and ensures projects are aligned with Physician Enterprise and HSHS strategic goals.

Develops effective relationships with key stakeholders, especially shared service colleagues, to ensure they are aware and understand Physician Enterprise priorities. Prepare effective communication tools, including SBARs, A3s, agendas, decks, and infographics to convey project requests and status updates.

Leads designated colleagues in the project management process to ensure work progresses on established timelines and with the highest quality outputs.

Understands and employs change management tools and transformative strategies to align coalitions on projects and ensure stakeholder buy in, especially with projects that are transformative, using both qualitative and quantitative data to drive decision making and action.

Leads team members in project management and data & reporting skills to elevate competencies across Directors, Managers, and other colleagues in the Physician Enterprise, including administrative fellows where applicable.

Makes business recommendations and/or decisions that are financially responsible, accountable, justifiable, and defensible in accordance with organization policies and procedures.

Serves as a key member of the Physician Enterprise Leadership Team, maintaining the highest level of professionalism, leadership, contribution and confidentiality when necessary.

Develop colleagues and others, including learners, in project and change management as well as data and reporting to enhance competencies across Physician Enterprise.


Possess the information, skill, and understanding of the work to be performed.  Actively participates in continuing education opportunities and maintains certifications, licensure as appropriate.

Abides by all safety requirements including demonstrating proper hand hygiene and wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), if applicable. 

Complies with all standards, policies and procedures including dress code, attendance and punctuality.  Attends required in-services and meetings and completes all mandatory competencies by deadline. Commits to keeping all patient, student or colleague information confidential and maintains ongoing communication and collaboration with team members.
