Position Summary

The Service Line Business Manager works closely with the leader to facilitate the service line strategic plans across all markets.  Leads organizational efforts around growth through the development of new ventures and analyzes financial indicators to support the expansion of core business activities. Effectively applies project management, facilitation, analytics, and process improvement methodologies for the service line. Identifies and applies appropriate best practices from within and outside of HSHS.  This role manages the service line projects and expansion efforts by partnering with various stakeholders to generate high-value solutions and sustainable results.

 


Education

Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Project Management or a related field is required.

Master's degree in Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Project Management or related field is preferred.


Experience

5 years of experience in healthcare strategy is required.


Certificates, Licenses and Registrations

Project Management Professional (PMP) is preferred.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work within tight timeframes and meet strict deadlines; ability to simultaneously handle and prioritize multiple initiatives, tasks and projects to successful completion.

Demonstrated experience using structured organizational change and process improvement methodologies.

Maintains a high degree of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.

Advanced Microsoft Office skills. Advanced skills with data modeling tools (e.g. Tableau, Microsoft Power BI).

Proven experience developing business cases and building effective business partner relationships in order to facilitate strategic plans and teams.

Demonstrated and strong analytical, critical/strategic thinking and decision-making skills.


Responsibilities

Coordinates with the leader the design and overall strategy for the system service line, including project work plans, analytics, and supply management to support growth.

Serves as an instrumental resource in establishing business plans for development and growth in a go-to market approach, including system service line development plans.

Utilizes project management, facilitation, analytics, and process improvement methodologies and applies appropriate best practices from within and outside of HSHS.

Responsible for gathering and reporting business intelligence to proactively address service issues, competitor strategies and market dynamics to contribute to business plans and marketing strategies that are inclusive of the organization's mission, vision, and strategic plan.

Develops and maintains relevant financial metrics. Provides and presents data and reports as needed to stakeholders.

Collaborates with legal for review of all contract relationships regarding strategic opportunities to ensure they are accurate and thorough.

Performs program development for the system service line that support recruitment and strategic growth.

Assists with identifying expense reduction and revenue enhancement opportunities in system service line activities.

Develops accurate and thorough pro forma to validate all costs associated with strategy initiatives.


Possess the information, skill, and understanding of the work to be performed.  Actively participates in continuing education opportunities and maintains certifications, licensure as appropriate.

Abides by all safety requirements including demonstrating proper hand hygiene and wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), if applicable. 

Complies with all standards, policies and procedures including dress code, attendance and punctuality.  Attends required in-services and meetings and completes all mandatory competencies by deadline. Commits to keeping all patient, student or colleague information confidential and maintains ongoing communication and collaboration with team members.
