Position Summary | The Director-Foundation-Mission Outreach, SMD, SFL, SAE, GSS advances all assigned fundraising functions on behalf of the Hospital Sisters of St. Francis Foundation (HSSFF) with direct focus on HSHS St. Mary's Hospital, St. Francis Hospital, St. Anthony's Hospital, Good Shepherd Hospital, and Mission Outreach, where the Director is also the lead fundraiser. Ensures successful strategies to accomplish annual goals through the management of major gift functions, annual giving programs and a yearly calendar of events. Develops an overall plan and direction for major donor activities with an associated work plan detailing short and long-term goals, specific action steps and deliverables, and monitors the Foundation's metrics the success of the major gifts program. In partnership with hospital and Mission Outreach leadership, the director is the accountable leader to define and affirm market fundraising campaigns and fundraising priorities. | | | |
Education | Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, finance or related field is required. | Master's degree in marketing, communications, business, finance or related field is preferred. |
Experience | 5 to 7 years experience in fund-raising, public relations, marketing, or a related field is required. | 5 to 7 years progressively more responsible leadership experience or equivalent is required. |

Responsibilities | Maintains an active annual, major and planned giving donor portfolio in alignment with HSSFF standards for position. | Directs all fund-raising activities including major and planned giving, annual community campaigns, events, colleague campaign, endowment, and special purpose campaigns for assigned area(s) of responsibility. | Develops, implements, and evaluates market strategies, goals and objectives to meet or exceed determined annual fundraising goals. | Communicates regularly with key donors and stakeholders. | Ensures Foundation Leadership Councils we well organized by Foundation Managers. | Maintains accountability for gift processing and documentation by respective team members. | Provides periodic activity reports to Executive Leadership. | Monitors and reports out to Leadership and/or to Compliance leadership, any individual and/or affiliate activities believed to be in violation of the law or ethical standards. |
