Position Summary | The Associate Administrator-Operations sets objectives and leads projects for the assigned market, service lines, and/or shared service. The role will ensure consistency in operations of assigned department(s) or areas of responsibility for the assigned area and assists executive leaders in the operations of the ministries within a market or system scope. | | | |
Education | Master’s Degree in healthcare administration, business or related field is required. |
Experience | 5 years or more in a leadership role or completion of an administrative fellowship within a health system is required. | Experience in a multi-hospital health system is preferred. | Understanding of complex organizations is preferred. |

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities | Strong written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills. | Ability to work within tight timeframes and meet strict deadlines; ability to simultaneously handle and prioritize multiple initiatives, tasks, and projects to successful completion. | Demonstrated experience using project management methodologies, and other advanced Microsoft Office skills. | Maintains a high degree of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality. | Proven experience developing business cases and building effective relationships in order to facilitate strategic plans and teams. | Demonstrated and strong analytical, critical/strategic thinking and decision-making skills. | Self-starter with good judgment and problem-solving abilities to independently and logically carry out enterprise-wide responsibilities and accept challenges which further the health systems' initiatives. |
Responsibilities | Sets objectives, develops plans, and leads operational projects for market or system service lines. | Assists HSHS executives in the operation of the ministries. Plans, direct, and monitors business units, departments, service lines, or programs to ensure success within assigned market or service lines. May act as the point person and conduit for quality, safety, performance improvement efforts. | Responsible to ensure strategic targets or outcomes are achieved related to markets, service lines, and/or shared services departments. | Serves as an administrative representative at community meetings and events when needed. | May serve as an operational point of contact for service lines that are outsourced. | Oversees operations of assigned departments or areas of responsibility as needed. |
Possess the information, skill, and understanding of the work to be performed. Actively participates in continuing education opportunities and maintains certifications, licensure as appropriate. | Abides by all safety requirements including demonstrating proper hand hygiene and wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), if applicable. | Complies with all standards, policies and procedures including dress code, attendance and punctuality. Attends required in-services and meetings and completes all mandatory competencies by deadline. Commits to keeping all patient, student or colleague information confidential and maintains ongoing communication and collaboration with team members. |
