Position Summary | The Program Manager of Ministry Formation supports the design, coordination, and implementation of formation experiences that deepen Catholic identity, Franciscan charism, and mission integration across the health system. The Program Manager ensures consistent delivery of high-quality formation content and contributes to evaluation efforts that strengthen the organization's identity as a Catholic ministry inspired by the legacy of the Hospital Sisters of St. Francis. | | | |
Education | Bachelor's degree in theology or related field is required. | Master's degree in theology or related field is preferred. |
Experience | 2 years experience working in formation, mission, or spiritual care is required. |

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities | Strong knowledge of Catholic theology, spiritual disciplines, and the Ethical and Religious Directives (ERDs) for Catholic Health Care Services. | Understanding of adult learning principles and effective formation strategies. | Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills. | Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication abilities. | Ability to integrate spiritual practices into formation experiences. | Commitment to organizational mission, values, and goals. |
Responsibilities | Develop and implement formation programs, materials, and resources grounded in Catholic Social Teaching and Franciscan spirituality. | Design and deliver engaging formation experiences using diverse modalities. (e.g., prayer, theological reflection, storytelling, and experiential learning) | Ensure alignment of formation initiatives with mission integration strategy. | Coordinate logistics and facilitate or co-facilitate formation sessions and programs. | Lead program evaluation efforts, including data analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement recommendations. | Support Mission Integration Assessment & Report (MIAR) initiatives and related documentation. | Promote mission-centered messaging, including liturgical seasons, feast days, and organizational milestones. | Collaborate with departments to integrate mission and formation into system-wide initiatives. | Support ethics programming, education, and system-wide mission events. |
Possess the information, skill, and understanding of the work to be performed. Actively participates in continuing education opportunities and maintains certifications, licensure as appropriate. | Abides by all safety requirements including demonstrating proper hand hygiene and wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), if applicable. | Complies with all standards, policies and procedures including dress code, attendance and punctuality. Attends required in-services and meetings and completes all mandatory competencies by deadline. Commits to keeping all patient, student or colleague information confidential and maintains ongoing communication and collaboration with team members. |
